Re-coloring Patent Leather in One Step|Lorence Patent Leather Stain

December 1, 2022

Patent leather goods are one of the popular products in leather goods. Patent leather is coated with lacquer, which creates a translucent high-gloss protective coating on the leather surface, making it resistant to fading and absorbing water. Therefore, it is easier to clean and maintain.

However, if you do not pay attention to the proper storage of patent leather shoes and bags, light-colored patent leather will be easily stained by other dark-colored objects. Once the color is transferred, the color will penetrate into the leather through the clear coating. General cleaners cannot remove this type of stain. Some patent leather shoes and bags are often stained with colored substances such as ballpoint pens.
